We have delivered this presentation twice a year since 2018 to members of the public invited to attend by Swindon Carers, and the presentation has always been very well received.
The information presented to the Carers focuses on how to reduce the family’s potential liability to paying for care home fees should one or other person in a relationship (marriage or civil partnership) need to be cared for in a care home or nursing home in the future.
We also discuss why it is vital to have both elements of Lasting Powers of Attorney in place when a partner is being assessed regarding a diagnosis of dementia.
